K&L Precision Painting was established in 2007 to address the residential painting needs of customers in the Kansas City area. The founders, Matt and Mike, who were both raised in Lee's Summit, MO, decided to start the company based on their strong work ethic and friendship. Matt holds degrees in business administration and economics, while Mike has a degree in construction management. They both have prior experience in painting, which made starting a painting company a natural choice.

Over the years, K&L Precision Painting has grown their team and expanded their services. They have added experienced professionals like Toby Turney, who brings years of painting and carpentry experience to the team. Toby has become an integral part of K&L Precision Painting and joined the ownership group as a partner in 2021.
